The Dream Scholarship
The Dream Scholarship Applications Accepted April 1 - April 30
- Must be a first-time student attending a college, university, or trade school in Utah.
- Must be a member of Cyprus Credit Union. View membership requirements.
- Must submit proof of acceptance to a Utah-accredited college, university, or trade school.
- Applicants should have a GPA of 3.0 or higher OR provide documentation of recent work experience, community involvement, or personal accomplishments (such as awards or letters of recommendation).

How to Apply
Complete each of the four steps below to apply for the Dream Scholarship with Cyprus Credit Union to fund your higher education. Each step plays a key role in your total application score, so be sure to read each step carefully before applying.

This series lays the foundation for the rest of your scholarship application. Make sure to take notes and understand the core concepts—they'll help you with the next steps!
15% of your total score
Download and complete the Cyprus Credit Union Spending Plan Workbook (download here).
Use what you learned from the video series to build a financial plan for your time in college. Complete pages 2–5 of the workbook (fillable PDF) and save it for later in the process. You will upload your workbook while completing step 4.
20% of your total score
Record a video of yourself addressing this question: Now that you've viewed the Cyprus personal finance video series and created a spending plan, how will you use what you've learned to help secure financial success during your college experience?
Remember:
- Be creative and have fun!
- Present yourself in a professional manner.
- Keep the video between 1 and 5 minutes long.
You will upload the video during the final step.

Here, you will upload:
- Your completed Spending Plan workbook
- Your video
- Your GPA information
- Required documents (e.g., transcription, letter of recommendation)
10% of your total score
(GPA= 5%, Uploading required documents= 5%)
Selection Process
The Scholarship Committee, based on the quality of the application and materials provided, will select scholarship recipients. Simply completing an application with all it’s component parts, does not guarantee an award even if there are fewer than 10 applicants. The committee reserves the right to award as many or as few scholarships as meet it’s criteria. All scholarship applicants will be notified of the Committee’s decision on or before June 1st. Up to 10 - $2,000 scholarships may be awarded. If an applicant is a dependent or employee of Cyprus Credit Union, an independent committee will select from those applicants and up to four of the total scholarships may be awarded to Cyprus dependents. Applications must be received by mail or email between April 1 and April 30th at 11:59 p.m.
Please Note:
Scholarship recipients will receive a single check made payable to themselves AND their prospective college, university, or trade school. If not used within 30 months, Cyprus Credit Union reserves the right to award the scholarship to a different applicant. Deferrals may be requested and are subject to approval.
